Custom Banners

I hear ya brother - I was so unimpressed I made an off color post about this crap last night.

Vox: What have you done?
Great tiki banner! I would stop messing with it and live with it for a bit.
[this is good]

I just made your banner the answer to the question of the day.

I don't see the problem. Anyone who makes a ferociously ugly banner for their Vox is probably not someone whose blog you'd want to read anyway. If they don't know what does and doesn't look good, how can they be capable of writing anything I'd want to read? They're obviously not home upstairs. So any Vox account with an ugly banner is out of sight and should be out of mind. What's the problem?

Frankly it's absolutely a price I'm happy to pay. If there's one thing that would have lead to me leaving Vox, it's the inability to individualise my account. I'm an artist, why would I want to be using someone else's design? And no offense to Tiff and the more recent designers, but the designs they've done are not my cup of tea. Not a single one of them. So why shouldn't I have the ability to make my Vox unique in the most visible way - the banner?
