Audio: What's your favorite hidden track or song from an album?
Submitted by Kristine.
This has always been the first hidden track I ever discovered. I had The Sesame Street Monsters! LP for some time before even finding this track. Several seconds after the end of the last song on side 1, Grover pipes up and instructs the listener to turn the record over. The MP3 below has his direction compressed between each of his statement (silent spaces removed). It makes him sound a lot more impatient than it does on the LP.
At first, this weirded me out. Not that it was a hidden track, but the fact that Grover was speaking to me. He knew that side one had ended and that I needed to flip it over. Then I thought it was cool.
This is one of those little things that loses its punch when taken out of context. It only works on an LP... and today's kids have no idea that records were actually how we listened to music and not a type of instrument used with a couple of turntables to mix beats.
Video: Show us a great music video.
There are a lot of great videos, but "Sweep the Leg" by "No More Kings" is probably the greatest new video I've seen.
It features all of our Cobra Kai buddies and other friends from The Karate Kid (except for Pat Morita because he's dead - Mr. Belding fills in - and Elizabeth Shue because she probably feels "above" this now.)
Retrocrush has an interview with Billy Zabka ("Johnny
Lawrence" and the go-to guy for a teen villian in an 80's movie) about the making of the video (he was the writer and director).

I also have to throw Weezer's "Keep Fishin'" video in here just because. Do you have a problem with that?
I'm about 7 days late on this, but I wanted to wish The Muppet Wiki a happy 1st birthday. I've enjoyed contributing to the articles, but it is even more fun to read them.
IMHO, this makes a better Swamp Thing than Oscar. Since it is supposed to be Oscar, this falls into Point B of being kinda creepy.
HOW TO - Make an Oscar the grouch costume on MAKE
What did you think you would never ever do... but did?

I could go on. I've been very fortunate to be able to do a lot of things that I've wanted to do. There are still a number of things that I'd like to do, places to visit, and a lot of people I'd like to meet. All I know is that when an opportunity presents itself, you have to take advantage of it regardless of if you think you really have the time or if things may be tight financially for a bit because of it.
It is no secret that I'm a big Muppet fan and that I really love Halloween. However, like a lot of things I like, these two things do not mix very well.
Starting in 2002, my buddy Danny Horn started posting annual Muppet Fan Halloween Parades on his site, ToughPigs.com. That first year, he put out a call for submissions in exchange for candy and was completely overloaded. I even contributed a few pics I found via Google, but I told him to save his candy and give it to kids. I'm good like that. He continued through last year, and gave up on giving out candy.
It seems like Danny has been busy with creating and maintaining the Muppet Wiki this year and ToughPigs was placed on a bit of hiatus. Sadly, this probably means no Parade this year. The previous year parades are still available and still funny as hell.
Here is a synopsis of all of the parades:
A) Dressing up as a Muppet when you are kid works pretty well in most cases.
B) It doesn't work quite as well when you are older. In fact, it can be kinda creepy and scary.
C) It can work when you are older and don't try to do too much and just do enough to suggest the Muppet.
D) It can also work if you have some talent in building a costume or are willing to put the time into it to make it look good.
E) But it really doesn't work if you do this. Ever.

Danny, thanks for the laughter. Your work on TP has always been appreciated.
BTW- I've never dressed as a Muppet for Halloween and never will.
Who's your favorite movie villain?
He wanted Kermit to be the spokes-frog for his chain of Doc Hopper's French Fried Frog Legs restaurants. During the course of the film, he followed Kermit and Co. across the country and kept harassing him. Hopper finally came to the decision that if Kermit wouldn't work for him, he wouldn't work at all. He hired a thug to kill Kermit if he refused one last time.
